A small firmware update has been released which brings it to version 4.05. Only mentionable changes are the number of visual patterns that can be used when playing music files has been increased.

23-June-08 Psp Firmware 4.0 Released!
The long awaited firmware 4.0 has been released.
- The new firmware includes an internet search function. It is represented by a looking glass icon. After clicking it you see the same icon marked with a +plus symbol, you can then enter a search query like PSP images. After clicking ENTER it will do a search on a special designed Google page for the PSP screen from SCE and display the results.
Check here to see how that page looks like.
The next time you click on the 1st looking glass you will see your previous search query as a sort of a shortcut. Nice addition if you search a lot of stuff and maybe we will some more integration of other Google technology with the PSP like GMail?
- You can now change the movie speed using the UP and DOWN buttons. It goes from 0.5 to 2 speed, this function could be usefull with movies that play at an incorrect speed.

Well they certainly took their time but according to reviews it will be well worth the wait. Final Fantasy Crisis Core will finally be available in Europe at the end of June 2008. The game will cost around 40 Euros.
